My husband and I have been married for 34 years (I was just a week over 17 when we married) and we have raised 3 children. We have always been respectful of each other and of our children. You get what you give and our kids are loving, trusting and honest. My youngest, a street smart popular 16 yr old boy, has never cheeked me or swore and I know it is because of the brilliant role model he has had in his dad Great article I absolutely believe that respect is the cornerstone of a strong marriage and family.
